The Indian Arbitration Law Review (IALR) is an annual peer-reviewed journal published by the students of National Law Institute University, Bhopal and is supported by L&L Partners Law Offices.

Call for Papers

The Indian Arbitration Law Review is now inviting submissions for Volume 4.

Sub-themes

The Journal welcomes submissions on any of the following sub-themes:

  • Accreditation Norms of Arbitrators in India: Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2021
  • Challenges to enforcing awards in Investor-State disputes
  • Arbitration in a post-COVID-19 world
  • Use of Artificial Intelligence in Arbitration

Note

The above sub-themes are only illustrative, and the Journal welcomes submissions on any topic related to arbitration.

Submission Categories

Submissions can be made under the following categories:

  • Long Articles (4000-8000 words): The article must be a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of a contemporary issue in arbitration law and should include references to a range of sources and contributions in the form of alternatives and suggestions.
  • Short Articles (2000-4000 words): The article must be an analysis of a contemporary issue in arbitration law and should include a reference to a range of sources and contributions in the form of alternatives and suggestions.
  • Case Comments (1500-4000 words): The comment must be an analysis of a recent judgment, bringing out its relevance in light of the development of arbitration law, views expressed in the judgment and the opinion(s) of the author.
  • Book Reviews (1000-3000 words): The review must be a crisp account of a recently published book on arbitration, including the issues explored and related arguments of the author.

The word limit is exclusive of footnotes and abstracts. The prescribed word limit may be relaxed up to 10%, at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions are accepted only in the English language.
  • All articles must be accompanied by an abstract not exceeding 300 words. Case Comments and Book Reviews do not need to be accompanied by abstracts.
  • The abstract must expressly include the novelty and usefulness of the idea that the author wishes to put forth and must categorically mention the specific contribution of the article beyond the existing available literature.
  • Co-authorship (with no cap on authors) is permitted for all articles.
  • The manuscript should not contain any references to the identity of the authors. However, authors are allowed to cite their previous published work.
  • The body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 12 and 1.5-line spacing.
  • The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 10 and single line spacing.
  • The citations must conform to the style of OSCOLA (4th Edition).
  • Manuscripts should only use footnotes as a means of citation. No other method of citation is permitted.
  • Substantive footnotes are permissible.

Submission Procedure

  • Kindly send your manuscript in MS Word (.docx) format to ialr@nliu.ac.in
  • The subject of the email should be “Submission for Volume 4 – <Title of the manuscript>”. The submissions must be sent by 11:59 pm, 31st August 2021.
  • IALR accepts the manuscript on a rolling basis. Manuscripts received after the submission deadline shall be considered for publication in Volume 5.
  • The submission should be accompanied by a Covering Letter, which must include the following details:
  • Name of Author(s)
  • Contact Details (Address and Mobile No.)
  • Institutional Affiliations (if any)

About the Call for Papers MNLU Aurangabad Comparative Law e-Newsletter

Devoted to the study of comparative and transnational laws and legal systems, the Comparative Law e-Newsletter (CLN) is open access, peer-reviewed and refereed newsletter published bi-monthly with six issues per year, by Maharashtra National Law University Aurangabad. It embraces analytical, theoretical, empirical and socio-legal attempts surrounding the public and private law aspects of various legal systems. It aims to encourage comparative legal studies in the transnational context of legal history, theory, philosophy, legal cultures and traditions, by tracking the developments in the field across the world.

The call for papers by MNLU Aurangabad Comparative Law e-Newsletter seeks works that are dynamic and interdisciplinary in nature with a specific display of comprehensive knowledge on the subject matter.

Theme

The submission must deal with a contemporary issue of “Police Power and International Investment”.

Submission Categories

Submissions made to the newsletter can be in the nature of any of the following categories. Contributors are requested to kindly mention the nature of the submission in the body of the mail accompanying their submission. Apart from the contents mentioned hereunder, the newsletter shall also feature interviews and opinions of prominent scholars and professionals surrounding the theme of the issue.

  • Short Articles: Contributions on an area within the theme encompassing theoretical arguments and comparative analysis.
  • Case Comments: Analyses of any case falling under the theme of the issue.
  • Legislative Comments: Analyses of legislations related to the theme.
  • Social Spotlight: A case study of obscure social issues looked through the lenses of law.

Submission Guidelines

  • The e-Newsletter intends to include contributions from students, experts, scholars, academicians and professionals from any field.
  • The suggested word limit for the contribution is 500 to 700 words excluding endnotes.
  • Main text: Times New Roman, Font size 12, Line spacing 1.5.
  • Endnotes: Times New Roman, Font size 10, Line spacing 1.0.
  • Style of endnotes should be according to “OSCOLA” latest edition.
  • Only one submission per author is permitted. Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of 2 authors.
  • All submissions must be original, unpublished and should not have been submitted for review elsewhere. Plagiarism in any form shall result in instant rejection of the submission. The decision of the Board of Editors in this matter is final and binding.
  • Submissions must be in the English language only and must be submitted in MS Word Format (.doc/.docx) to mnluacln@gmail.com under the subject heading “Submission: MNLUA Comparative Law e-Newsletter”.
  • The body of the mail shall contain the name and designation, email id, contact number of the author(s).
  • The submission must not contain the name or any other marks which reveals the identity of the author(s).
  • The contributions will be published in the MNLU-A Comparative e-Newsletter, which shall be published on the university’s official website.

About Indian Constitutional Law Review

Indian Constitutional Law Review is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal published by Harbinger. ICLRQ is published with the intention to promote and contribute to the growth of Constitutionalism in India. It revolves around the issues pertaining to the wide sphere of Constitutional Law and within its array, covers all areas of law through its interactions with them.

Themes

The submissions shall revolve around contemporary happenings and/or any relevant issue in relation to Constitutional Law, or its interdisciplinary aspects, and must establish their relevance to the area of study that the journal undertakes.

Submission Categories

Submissions in the following categories are invited

  • Research Papers: 5000-7000 words (exclusive of footnotes)
  • Articles: 3000-5000 words (exclusive of footnotes)
  • Case Comments: 2000-4000 words (exclusive of footnotes)

Manuscripts exceeding the word limit may be considered at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

Submission Guidelines

  • An abstract shall be mandatory for Research Papers and Articles but not for Case Comments. Such abstract can be around 250 words, and must not exceed 400 words.
  • Research Papers and Articles must contain 5 relevant keywords, to be indicated at the end of the abstract
  • Co-authorship up to two co-authors is permissible. However, no author may submit more than ONE manuscript per edition, regardless of co-authorship status.
  • Submissions must be original and neither published nor under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • All manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism and those containing plagiarism over the permissible limit will be summarily rejected.
  • ICLRQ accepts citations only in the form of footnotes. Citations must follow the 21st Edition of the Bluebook and must not be explanatory in nature.
  • The formatting guidelines are available here.
  • Submissions not in accordance with the submission guidelines and the additional instructions as set out above are liable to be summarily rejected.

  • For submissions via e-mail, the subject line should be in the following format:
    Submission for Edition XIV| [Title of Manuscript] | [Type of Submission] | [Name of the Author]
    For e.g., Submission for Edition XIV | The Transformative Constitution | Article | Rahul Jain
  • The submissions must be in the MS Word (.doc, .docx) format (and not any other format, including .pdf) and must contain ONE document containing both the Abstract and the Manuscript itself. Please refrain from sending both documents separately. Such
    the document should neither contain the name of the author(s) nor contain any other details, through which the author(s) may be identified.

Review Process

ICLR follows a strenuous, multi-tiered and double-blind review process that typically takes at least one month after the final submission date to complete.

Call for Blogs | The GCLS Blog | Submission on Rolling basis

Submission Guidelines

The GCLS Blog welcomes submissions having contemporary relevance around the interface of law and society.

We prefer articles that have not been extensively covered in other fora. Editorial Board may summarily reject any topics that have already been covered in our blog.

Submissions:

  • Submissions must be original. By submitting an article, the author undertakes that it has not been submitted, accepted or published elsewhere.
  • Submissions must be in Word Format (.doc or .docx ) to bloggcls@gmail.com.
  • The maximum number of co-authors permitted is two.
  • The manuscript should be free from any art work or border lines. The authors are also requested not to mention their personal details in the manuscript, instead, it should be mentioned in the body of the email.
  • All submissions made for the blog via. email will be acknowledged on its receipt within a period of 2-3 working days from the date of submission. Authors are requested to be kindly co-operate.

Word Limit & Styling:

  • The maximum word limit is 1500 words.
  • All relevant sources must be hyperlinked. In case no hyperlink is available for a reference, use of endnotes is recommended. Speaking endnotes and footnotes are discouraged.
  • 12′ for text and 10′ for End notes – TIMES NEW ROMAN; 1.5 LINE SPACING; Justified.

Author Details:

  • Submissions made via email shall necessarily contain the following in the body of the email: Name of the Author, Institution/Organisation of affiliation, Year of Study (If applicable), Short Bio (Not exceeding 50 words).

Review:

  • Submissions for the blog shall be reviewed on a rolling basis.
  • Receipt of submissions shall be conveyed at the earliest.
  • The Editorial Board may take upto 02 weeks for the review of submissions.
  • For any editorial changes suggested after preliminary acceptance, the author is requested to respond at the earliest.
  • These changes made by the author will then be subjected to another review. Final decision regarding the acceptance/rejection will be conveyed only after this process.
  • Due to high volume of submissions, the email response time shall be longer than expected.
  • Relaxation or changes in any rules is subject to the discretion of the Editorial Board.
  • Editorial Board has full discretion to reject articles at any stage.

Confidentiality:

  • Every submission undergoes a blind review whereby the Editors during the review are not apprised of any information of the authors including but not limited to their name or institutional affiliation.
  • Any attempts to vilify this protocol of blind review shall lead to immediate rejection of the manuscripts. All queries and concerns must be directed through the official GCLS email ID only. Further, under no circumstances should the authors reach out to any Editorial Board member(s) in their personal capacity.
  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject such manuscripts at any stage.

Formatting Guidelines

● All submissions must strictly adhere to the formatting guidelines. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject submissions after a preliminary review if the prescribed formatting guidelines are not adhered to.

● The body of the manuscript must be in Times New Roman, font size 12 with line spacing 1.5. The footnotes must be in Times New Roman, font size 10 with line spacing 1. The footnotes must be formatted following the Bluebook (20th Edition) citation style. Speaking and substantive footnotes are discouraged.

● For Articles: The submission must have all the references in Hyperlinks. If necessary, then only footnotes. However, for the Research paper, proper footnotes are required. 

Plagiarism Policy

All the submissions submitted for the publication to Burnished Law E-Newsletter (Volume Edition) must be plagiarism-free.We may use any software to find out the plagiarism. But the contributors must assure the originality before the submission.
