Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, file, and prosecute trademark, copyright, and patent applications.
  • Liaise with outstation counsel, investors, and R&D teams to gather technical details, declarations, and supporting documents.
  • Conduct preliminary IP due diligence and assist with formal verification and compliance review of patent applications before filing.

Requirements

  • LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
  • 1–2 years of relevant domain experience.
  • Sound understanding of and interest in intellectual property law.

We are seeking Associates, Senior Associates, and Principal Associates to join our expanding Capital Markets practice, which advises on domestic and international equity and debt offerings.

The role involves working on IPOs, QIPs, Rights Issues, and NCDs, alongside leading issuers, merchant bankers, and global counsel.

Requirements:

  • 1.5–7 years of relevant capital markets experience at a reputed firm
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and regulatory skills

Additional Requirements for the Chandigarh Office: Candidates applying for the Chandigarh office should also possess some (20-40% of gross PQE) General Corporate experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and reviewing DRHPs, RHPs, prospectuses, and placement memoranda
  • Conducting legal due diligence and preparing reports
  • Advising on SEBI, Companies Act, FEMA, and stock exchange compliances
  • Coordinating with intermediaries and regulators throughout the transaction lifecycle

Desired Skills and Attributes

  • Strong understanding of SEBI (ICDR) Regulations, LODR Regulations, Companies Act, and related capital markets laws.
  • Excellent drafting and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple work-streams and meet tight timelines.

The Red Hat Legal team is looking for a Contract Specialist to join the new Global Legal and Compliance Center of Excellence (CoE) in New Delhi, India supporting the global Commercial Legal function. In this role, you will work on a globally distributed team of lawyers and contract specialists to support the Red Hat sales and procurement teams in structuring, negotiating, and closing contracts.

You’ll also collaborate with our finance and product management teams and assist Red Hat counsel with commercial legal functions. As a Contract Specialist, you’ll need to have excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external business clients while addressing complex issues in an accurate and clear, yet thorough manner. You should have passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Demonstrated interest in software, information technology (IT), intellectual property (IP), or related legal issues
  • 4+ years of professional experience in contract negotiations in the technology or software industry, solid knowledge of commercial contracting law and related issues such like IP and licensing
  • Excellent communication skills demonstrated through your work experience, including the ability to explain complicated concepts in simple, audience-appropriate terms
  • Analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills demonstrated through your work experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to manage simultaneous projects under deadline pressure

  • Help educate customers about open source licensing and Red Hat’s subscription business model Help support the global Sales team
