About the College

Lakshmibai College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi It was established in 1965 and named in the honor of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, the fearless warrior, and patriot.
Located in the neighborhood of Ashok Vihar, it offers courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition to these regular courses, the College provides skill-based training to students through various add-on Certificate courses.

About the Symposium

Research generates new knowledge and addresses relevant issues by providing resolutions. The primary aim of this virtual symposium is to encourage inquisitive minds of young researchers and scholars to think about the challenges and probable solutions to issues in Indian Higher Education Landscape. It’s the right time for undergraduate and postgraduate students to prepare for upcoming challenges and devise solutions for enhanced educational landscape.

Concept Note

As we all know poverty, unemployment, and a slow-growing economy are the major challenges that India is facing even today. Giving quality education is considered to be the panacea of all these challenges. Where, primary education lays the bedrock on which a child’s thinking grows, higher education further shapes and gives direction to the young minds so that they may lead productive lives in a civilized society, serving as tools of social mobility and creating new knowledge of every kind. With almost 1,000 universities, 39,000 colleges, and over 38 million students, the landscape of higher education is not only huge but also very daunting. With courses like undergraduate, postgraduate, and research, higher education provides various dimensions to be kept in mind while attempting any discussion on this topic. As students are rightfully the biggest stakeholders in our education system, it would be apt to invite students to present research papers on the following themes so that they can share views and suggestions on the same.
Call for Papers Lakshmibai College invites submissions from UG, PG students, and research scholars to submit and present their latest research on the above-mentioned theme at the symposium. The medium of papers can be in Hindi and English.

Guidelines of Abstract Submission

The participants must submit abstract (250 words) through the link for registration in the word file in Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing. The structured abstract should include Title, Name, and Affiliations of the Authors (the name of the presenting author should be underlined), brief background, purpose, methodology, conclusion, and keywords (3-5).
The file name for uploading-
● For Abstract- “Abstract Your Name” e.g. Abstract Shivani Sharma.

Guidelines for Paper Submission (if selected)

Full-length Paper not exceeding 2000-3000 words and should be in MS Word file format having font style Times New Roman, letter size 12 with 1.5 lines spacing.
The full-length paper should contain the title of the paper followed by the Authors Name, Designation, Affiliation (Name of Department & Organization), Contact Number, email of the corresponding author, abstract, keywords, Introduction,
Materials & Methods, Result, Discussion, Acknowledgment, and References.
Result and Discussion may, however, be combined if needed for better expression.

Best Paper for each Session

The best paper award for each session will be presented to the scholars whose work represents meaningful research with substantial practical utility. The same will be announced in the Valedictory session.
