CTIL intends to engage 09 lawyers (02 Associates, 05 Young Professionals and 02 Consultant), to work on trade-related issues across multilateral agreements and bilateral agreements (including Trade in Goods; Trade in Services; Trade and Sustainable Development; Intellectual Property Rights, Geographical Indications, innovation, and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Trade Remedies and Dispute Settlement; Regulatory Practices, Competition, Government Procurement, Anti-Corruption, Transparency, etc.; Rules of Origin, Trade Facilitation, and Non-Tariff measures; Investment Protection; and Agriculture)

Eligibility

Young Professional

  • Master’s degree in economics, law, international law, public policy, data science, cost accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at bachelor’s and master’s levels.
  • Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience.
  • Relevant work experience or research in international trade, international law, investment, public policy, or related disciplines is desirable.

Associate

  • Master’s degree in economics, law, international law, public policy, data science, cost accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at bachelor’s and master’s levels.
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, out of which at least 1 year in the relevant field (e.g., international trade and allied fields).
  • Relevant work experience or research in international trade, economics, economic diplomacy, international law, investment, public policy, or related disciplines is desirable.

Consultant

  • Master’s degree in economics, law, international law, public policy, data science, cost accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at bachelor’s and master’s levels.
  • Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience, out of which at least 3 years in the relevant field (e.g., international trade and allied fields).
  • Relevant work experience or research in international trade, economics, economic diplomacy, international law, investment, public policy, or related disciplines is desirable.

Additional Consideration

  • Candidates with a PhD will be considered for Senior Research Fellow (with PhD).
  • Candidates without a PhD will be considered for Senior Research Fellow (without PhD).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) or Master’s degree in economics, diplomacy, international relations, public policy, data science, general management, cost accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Degree must be from:
    • A University listed in the top 25 ranks of the latest NIRF, or
    • A reputed University or discipline within a University listed in the top 100 ranks of a recognized World University Ranking (e.g., QS World University Ranking or Times Higher Education Ranking).
  • Prior work experience is not required.
