About the Organisation

Team Attorneylex is a Student-run organisation, it is an online platform for law students where they can contribute their legal knowledge and get recognized for their contribution. 

Along with the other activities the endeavour is to deliver legal help to the sectors of society that are unable to access existing legal services due to illiteracy and poor economic conditions.

About the Competition

Team Attorneylex is organising its 11th National Article Writing Competition for all those who want to show their research and writing skills and are not able to find the perfect stage; here, we are giving them a chance to show their talent.

Topic

Any Contemporary Legal Issue.

Eligibility 

Open For All

Language

English or Hindi.

The Submission Guidelines Are

  • Word Limit – 1500 – 2000 (inclusive of footnotes)
  • Co-authorship is allowed (maximum two co-authors)
  • All submission must be sent at submission@teamattorneylex.in
  • The subject of the email should be “Submission: Article Writing Competition.”
  • Write-up must be original and unpublished.
  • Submissions with plagiarised content and copyright issues will be rejected outrightly.
  • The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
  • Font Size -12
  • Font Style – Times New Roman
  • Citation – 20th Bluebook (Endnote)

The submission shall also be accompanied by another Word document consisting of a Cover Letter mentioning the Name of the Author/s; Name of the Institution/College/University; Designation; Year of Study (if applicable); Email ID.

Single Author – 100/-( Early bird offer Rs.80, till 18 November)

Two Authors – 150/- ( Early bird offer Rs.130, till 18 November)

Three Authors- 200/-( Early bird offer Rs.180, till  18 November)

Declaration of Results: December 6, 2022

ABOUT NUJS CCLCV

The School of Criminal Justice and Administration & Centre of Criminal Law, Criminology & Victimology (CCLCV) is research and academic center at WBNUJS,Kolkata which aims to enhance the understanding of the intricate inter-relation between different areas under Criminal Law including but not restricted to Victimology, Criminal Justice Systems, Policing, Cyber Crimes and Crimes against Women. 

ABOUT THE MONSOON COURSE ON ADVANCE CRIMINAL LAW 

The duration of this course is from 29th August 2021- 4th September 2021 and would be dealing with various nuances of the fundamentals of criminal justice administration, discussions on crime policies and issues relating to governance of crimes, comprehending the relevance of special statutes governing them, and understanding the effectiveness of the procedural and substantive laws on crimes and punishments.

The course would mainly be adopted keeping a view of an interdisciplinary perspective on Criminal Law and taught in a virtual classroom teaching mode. The course aims to enable the participants in streamlining the objective relation between various branches of law to gain a sound knowledge of the procedural and substantive laws governing the crimes and punishments. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

There is no particular eligibility criteria for the certificate course, however it is recommended that the participants must have studied and be familiar with IPC and CrPC. There are 100 seats available for the course which would be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Our  aims is to provide a number of legal journal articles,& practical update of law. Requirements

1.The manuscript shall be original work and unpublished.

2.The manuscript should be in MS Word format.

3.The body of the manuscript shall be in Times New Roman, font size 12, 1.5 line spacing. Footnotes should be in Times New Roman, size 10 single line spacing.

4. A uniform style of the citation must be strictly adhered to while submitting the paper.  

5. Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of two authors.

6. Copyright over the published shall vest with Burnished Law Journal .

7. Full names of all the author(s) must be given.

Word Limit

The Burnished Law Journal  invites original, unpublished content from all academicians, authors, legal professionals and from students across the globe under the following categories-

  • Short Articles: (1000-2500 words, including footnotes)
  • Long Articles: (2500-6000 words, including footnotes)
  • Book Reviews: (2000-5000 words, including footnotes)
  • Case Comments: (2000-4000 words, including footnotes)
  • Research Papers: (2000-8500 words, including footnotes)

Note : Abstract should be upto 250 words only.
