Team Attorneylex is a Student-run organisation; it is an online platform for law students where they can contribute their legal knowledge and get recognised for their contribution. We aim to guide law students in their legal research, content writing, case analysis, reading or understanding the judgments passed by the courts, etc., because these things are an essential part of the legal profession.

In this epoch of information explosion, it has become really difficult to rely on the content available online because of various reasons; sometimes, it is the authenticity of the content itself, the language of the content, wrong citations etc. But we are here to ensure quality content for you, written by experienced writers and checked by professionals. This website aims to provide legal reporting that is more accurate, transparent and accessible to everyone.

  • Conduct extensive legal research and produce well-researched articles and research papers.
  • Incorporate relevant case laws, judicial decisions, regulations, notifications, etc. into content to meet project requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd year student in a three-year law program or as a 3rd, 4th or 5th year student in a five-year law program or pursuing LL.M. or Ph.D. in law.
  • Strong proficiency in English, as all work products must be prepared in English.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Access to a reliable computer and internet connection.

Submission Guidelines

1. Abstract (Minimum 300 Words), with at least 5 keywords, along with final paper should be sent by the last date of submission. 

2. The title of the paper should be followed by Name of the Author, Designation, Name of the Organization/University/Institution and Email address. Name and details of Co-author (if any) to be added.

3. The authors are duly expected to follow the prescribed format:

  –MS Word Document and NOT in any other format.

  –The font shall be in Times New Roman of font size 12, with a spacing of 1.5. 

 –The footnotes to be in Times New Roman of font size 10. Endnotes are not to be used.

  –A margin of 4 cm shall be left on all sides of the paper.

  –Page borders, headers, footers shall not be used.

  –Footnotes should conform to 20th Bluebook Citation.

  –The paper shall be original and unpublished.

4. All articles submitted will be checked for plagiarism. Plagiarized submissions will be rejected for publication. The authors are strictly expected to acknowledge the references made use of.

5. Co-authorship will be allowed to a maximum of two authors.

6.The length of paper should not be below 1,500 words (including footnotes) and should not exceed more than 10,000 words (including footnotes).

*The contributions presented to and accepted for publication and the copyrights therein shall be the Intellectual Property of Law Essentials Organization.

All entries will be reviewed by the editors before publication.

About the Internship

ASV Legal is inviting applications for internships on a rolling basis. The internship will run for four weeks commencing from the first day of the month for which your internship is confirmed.

During your internship, you will get trained in strategizing, researching, briefing, and drafting different kinds of petitions and applications moved before various forums, viz., district courts, arbitral tribunals, tribunals constituted under various statutes, the high courts, and the Supreme Court. Competition Commission of India (CCI) is a statutory body of the Government of India responsible for enforcing The Competition Act, 2002 and promoting competition throughout India, and preventing activities that have an appreciable adverse effect on competition in India. It was established on October 14, 2003.

About the Internship Opportunity with CCI

In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the regular CCI internship program has been suspended for the time being. However, for the benefit of students, the Commission will continue its Online Internship beyond September 2021 and up to December 2021.

For September 2021 to December 2021 Internship Opportunity with CCI, eligible applicants whose applications received by the 1st of the preceding month (for example, for internship of December 2021-application should be received by 1st of November 2021) shall only be considered.

  • The shortlisted candidates shall be allocated guides/mentors who are Officers of CCI.
  • The interns will be provided contact details of their mentors/guides for being in regular touch with them to complete the assigned work.
  • The duration of the online internship shall be decided by the mentor/guide depending on the work assigned.
  • In the first week of every month, an online orientation programme will be organized for selected students by the Advocacy Division of CCI and a review meeting will be conducted in the second week of the month through virtual mode.

Eligibility

  • Applicable to Indian Nationals only.
  • The internship is open to students from recognized Institutions and Universities with exposure to Competition
  • Students with a placement in hand are not eligible.

Duration of the Internship

  • However, applicants desirous of pursuing internships for 2-3 calendar months can also apply with due recommendation of the respective universities/Colleges/Institutions for the period applied for.
  • There will be a short induction programme on provisions of the Competition Act, 2002 on the 1st day of the Internship.

Stipend

No stipend will be paid for an online internship.

  • Applications should mandatorily be in the prescribed format available on the CCI website. Applications in other formats shall be rejected summarily.
  • A Statement of Purpose should be accompanied by the application which should reflect the reason for selection and probable area of research/internship project.
  • Applicants shall submit their applications duly signed/endorsed by their colleges/institutions in the space specifically provided in the application form with the heading ‘Certification and Recommendation by Institution’.

    Applications must be accompanied by a scanned copy of the email/letter from the respective institution certifying that the student is a bonafide student of the institution and pursuing the course (with the year) mentioned in the application for internship.
  • Such email/letter must be issued by Dean/Registrar/HoD/Director/Authorized Officials.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India is a Statutory public body constituted on 12 October 1993 under the Protection of Human Rights Ordinance of September 28, 1993. It was given a statutory basis by the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 (PHRA).

The NHRC is the National Human Rights Commission of India, responsible for the protection and promotion of human rights, defined by the Act as “Rights Relating To Life, liberty, equality and dignity of the individual guaranteed by the Constitution or embodied in the International Covenants and enforceable by courts in India.

About the Internship Opportunity at NHRC

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has expressly been mandated to promote Human Rights literacy and awareness vide Section 12 (h) of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993.

With a view to spreading awareness among University students about the need for protection and promotion of Human Rights, the Commission has been regularly conducting Internship Programmes’ since 1998.

  • Program: Internship Opportunity at NHRC
  • Duration: November 1, 2021, to November 15, 2021 (15 days).

Eligibility

Applications are invited from eligible students of the entire country. Eligibility and selection criteria will be as follows:-

  • Students studying in 3rd year and onwards of an integrated 5 year PG course
  • Students studying in 3rd/final year of graduation course
  • Students of any semester/year of any post-graduate degree course
  • Students of any semester/year of any post-graduate diploma course
  • Students who are research scholars in any stream

Students who have research potential in the areas relating to human rights will be preferred (to be indicated in the write-up).

Note: Students must have consistently attained a minimum of 60% marks in Class XII and all subsequent courses including the presently pursued courses. The calculated percentage has to be mentioned clearly from their CGPA/SGPA along with the formula for the percentage obtained. Failure to do either of it so would result in the rejection of the application form.

Stipend & Award

  • All the student interns successfully completing the internship would receive a stipend of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only)
  • Certificate of participation will be awarded to the candidates on the basis of the following parameters:
    • Attendance, Punctuality, Discipline, Participation in online sessions is mandatory;
    • Project Presentation & Project Reports and Book Review have to be submitted timely.

The last date for submission of the application is October 19, 2021 (11:59 PM).

The ‘Application Form’ for NHRC Online Short Term Internship Programme 2021 is available at the link ‘Online Short Term Internship’. Application is to be submitted online using the link Online Short Term Internship available at NHRC’s website.

The final list of selected interns will be displayed on the NHRC website.

Important Note: Incomplete applications/applications without self-attested copies of mark sheets, letters of recommendation & SOPs etc. will be rejected. Applications sent through e-mails/posts will not be entertained. No application will be accepted after the deadline i.e. October 19, 2021 (11:59 pm).

Documents Required

Applications without the following will be summarily rejected:

  • Statement of Purpose (SoP): A 250 words write-up on the topic ‘Statement of Purpose (SoP) for joining NHRC Online Short Term Internship’ will be required to be submitted by the applicants along with the application form online which will also serve as a basis of selection.
  • Marksheets: Enclose self-attested scanned copies of mark-sheet from 12th Standard and onwards and mark-sheet of each year/semester of presently pursuing a course
  • Recommendation Letter: Scanned Recommendation letter/email by HOD/Dean/Principal concerned in the annexed Proforma.
