The Office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge (HQs), Delhi is responsible for administrative and judicial functions of district courts in Delhi. 

About the Opportunity

The Office has invited applications for the engagement of 13 Law Researchers for District Judges (Commercial Courts), Central District, Delhi. The engagement is on a short-term contractual basis for one year, i.e., for the financial year 2026–27. Out of the total positions, 10 vacancies are anticipated to arise with effect from April 1, 2026.

The engagement is in terms of the directions issued by the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) Committee.

Eligibility

• Graduate in Law from a recognised law school/college/university/institute established by law in India and recognised by the Bar Council of India
• Minimum 55% aggregate marks
• Must be eligible for enrolment as an Advocate with the Bar Council
• Good knowledge of computers

Preference may be given to candidates having a postgraduate degree in law or relevant legal experience.

Selection Process

The selection shall be conducted as per the guidelines framed by the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) Committee. Selected candidates will be required to comply with the prescribed guidelines and applicable service rules during the period of engagement.

• Including 10 anticipated vacancies likely to arise from April 1, 2026

Remuneration

Fixed monthly remuneration of ₹50,000

Application Procedure

Eligible candidates must submit their application in the prescribed format (Schedule I and Schedule II) on all working days between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM within 15 days from the issuance of the notice.

Applications received after the due date and time will not be entertained.

Candidates who had already applied in response to the earlier notice dated December 12, 2025 are not required to apply again, as their applications will be considered in the current selection process. Applicants are advised to regularly check their email and the official website for updates.
